Mission Statement

Our mission is to cultivate a cooperative, land-based community around Albemarle and Nelson County, Virginia, where individuals contribute their time, skills, and care to collectively grow food, medicinal plants, and fungi on one another’s land. By matching crops to the unique geography, soil, and conditions of each property, we work together to create abundance, resilience, and shared nourishment without monetary exchange through mutual aid, collaboration, and relationship with the land and each other.

Vision Statement

We envision a thriving network of neighbors stewarding their land collectively, where each property becomes a living example of what it grows best. Through shared workdays, seasonal rhythms, and cooperative harvest and preservation, we build food security, ecological awareness, and meaningful community connections. Our vision is a regenerative local culture rooted in trust, reciprocity, skill-sharing, and joy. One that strengthens both people and place for generations to come.
